Information

During their short, 14-year career, The Carpenters became one of the best-selling music artists of all time.

The duo’s brand of melodic pop produced a record-breaking run of hit recordings on the US charts and left an indelible mark on the history of 20th century contemporary pop music.  This unforgettable catalogue of music is now celebrated on stage in The Carpenters Story.

This show features some of the most memorable songs recorded by pop’s most famous brother and sister duo, including We’ve Only Just Begun, Top of The World, Superstar, A Song For You, (They Long To Be) Close To You and many more.
In a 70’s musical era more remembered for punk, prog rock and heavy metal, The Carpenters sold over 100 million soft-rock records. Now, nearly 50 years on, they are receiving the critical acclaim they richly deserve.

This year The Carpenters Story are excited to welcome KEITH ATACK back into the show!

Keith was lead guitarist when the show began some 30 years ago.
Keith entered the music world as a member of chart pop band Child, who came to prominence in the late 1970s. He went on to become a session musician, playing with David Cassidy and Rick Astley and has toured extensively with Bonnie Tyler since the 80s.
Most importantly – Keith met Claire Furley at her very first appearance as lead vocalist in The Carpenters Story – and they are now proud parents of their beautiful daughter, Nancy!
Over the last 30 years the Carpenters Story has continued to tour throughout the UK and Ireland with a growing army of fans who appreciate the wonderful music of a pop duo once described by impeached US President Nixon as ‘Young America at its best’.
Please note the first two rows in Stalls Left and Centre Stalls, maybe restricted viewing due to people getting up and dancing.
Dancing may happen throughout this show.
